COASTAL

Remote Protection of Coastal Assets

Rutter sigma S6 radar solutions passively monitor coastlines for elevated sea states, as well as other hazards such as ice, oil, and unidentified vessel traffic from a remote location, adding a level of security in the detection, tracking, and protection of coastal assets.

Rutter radar solutions offer remote monitoring of coastline assets 24 hours a day, independent of weather, daylight, and sea conditions.

Rutter systems can be used with existing coastal monitoring infrastructure as a cost-effective addition, providing a higher level of detection and reporting functionality without the need for new sensors or management infrastructure.

EFFICIENT, FLEXIBLE RADAR SOLUTIONS

Rutter’s suite of radar solutions enable existing systems to be upgraded without changing the fundamental technologies they are built on. Rutter products can also work in conjunction with technologies such as infrared (IR) cameras to positively identify detected targets.

Rutter’s sigma S6 radar solutions are designed to integrate with Vessel Traffic Service (VTS) or Vessel Traffic Management Systems (VTMS) for detection and tracking of local vessel activity.

Rutter’s sigma S6 radar solutions are available in combination on a single computing platform, using a common input sensor so that one radar can deliver multiple functions.

WAMOS® II WAVE AND CURRENT MONITORING SYSTEM

Generate oceanographic information that offers critical understanding of operating conditions and human safety factors.

sigma S6 OIL SPILL DETECTION SYSTEM

Detect and monitor oil spills that might occur as a result of an accident or deliberate act.

sigma S6 Ice NavigatoR™

Monitor seasonal ice conditions, and detect large icebergs, small bergy bits, and growlers that can influence maritime traffic and commerce.

sigma S6 SMALL TARGET SURVEILLANCE (STS)

Detect and monitor small watercraft carrying threats to infrastructure or the environment.

Global Installations AND Applications

Rutter’s sigma S6 radar solutions provide continuous coastline monitoring and protection in challenging conditions where many other systems and assets would fail.

Rutter has installations in tropical as well as sub-Arctic climates monitoring for targets such as illegal immigrants, seasonal ice floes, and hazardous wave conditions. All installations are autonomous, remotely controlled, and in operation monitoring and protecting coastlines.

Rutter’s system is designed to interface with existing assets. Those looking to upgrade capabilities or complement an existing technology can easily and economically add Rutter’s detection, measurement, and recording capabilities.
